Custom Group Events

There is no right or wrong way to enjoy an event at A-Game. We know you like to think outside the box when designing the perfect event, and so do we.

We have divided the custom events into common concepts we encounter, so choose one that sounds right, and let’s get to work making it your own.

Welcome to the easiest lock-in you’ve ever experienced. As if A-Game’s built-in features weren’t enough to keep your kids occupied from dusk till dawn, we created an Olympic-style contest to throw into the mix, which can easily eat up the first 3-4 hours of this crazy ordeal.

We take three of our most popular activities—Broom Hockey, Laser Tag, and Dodgeball—create teams and brackets, then we don’t stop playing until an international champion has been crowned.

Now, if there’s one single type of event that has the most possible variations, it would be called "Lock-In." So here are some of the factors we can work with in order to create a lock-in that works perfectly for your needs:

Number of People: We have hosted groups from 25 to 500. A minimum of 60 people is ideal, but there’s no maximum that scares us (yet).

Number of Hours: Some groups breeze by for only 2 hours, while others take up residence for up to 10. Normally, it takes 3 to 7 hours to make sure you had ALL the fun, but didn’t become a zombie.

Number of Activities: Most Lock-ins include everything we offer for the entire duration of the event. But with three entirely different areas (Ice, Courts, Laser Chase), representing at least 6 different activities (Ice-Skating, Broom Hockey, Laser Tag, Basketball, Volleyball, Dodgeball), you can mix and match if want to scale down a bit. You could do all laser tag, all the time; or Ice-Skating and Dodgeball only; or have the courts available all the time, but split your time between Ice and Lasers.

Number of Dollars: The options here are as numerous as the activities. The range is usually anywhere from $10-$40 per participant (for your planning purposes), but we usually arrive at a round number such as $700, $1500, $3000, etc.

Number of Eats: Having our concessions stand open into the wee hours is our pleasure. We’ve got the energy drinks and candy that eighth-graders require at these sort of events, while providing FREE coffee for the chaperones. But if you’re thinking of more than just a midnight snack, we can include meal tickets for everyone, a stack of pizzas, and even Krispy Kreme for breakfast (as you drive home to bed!).

In case you still have questions, or simply MUST know how soon you can come vie for Olympic Champion,

Host your school or organization’s fundraiser at A-Game’s facility, offering Ice Rinks, Courts, and Laser Tag!

This program offers unparalleled fundraising opportunities with the chance to raise hundreds in a single night, simply by having fun!

We give your group access to our entire facility for three hours in the late evening, we charge $20 at the door, and we give you 50% of all the money that comes in. 200 people x $20 each = $4,000, which is $2,000 to your organization! What’s YOUR responsibility? Get as many people here as possible and provide some chaperones!
Some of the activities that an A-Game Fundraiser could include:
  • Ice Skating
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Dodgeball
  • Futsal
  • Laser Chase
  • Video Arcade
  • Meals, drinks, and snacks at the A-Game Café
For more information, or to inquire about dates to hold your organization’s fundraiser, contact Sheila Dunaway, Special Events Manager, at 615.771.2444 x 103, or e-mail [email protected].
NOTE: There are a few important requirements to remember…
- You guarantee a turnout of at least 100 people. If fewer than 100 people attend, A-Game is still due a fee equivalent to the split on a 100-person event ($1000.00). If not even $1000.00 is brought in, however (50 people or less), you are NOT responsible for the deficit—we just both lose out in this scenario!
- You agree to provide 5-6 adult volunteers to work the gate and chaperone the event. These chaperones must arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the event and remain until the end. Their duties are primarily to ensure that all participants have paid (are wearing wristbands), but they are also expected to enforce good behavior as necessary.
- All marketing of this event is your responsibility. A-Game is not able to send out any e-mails promoting this event, or put up signage in our building.
- Additionally, we will provide all the wristbands, a table and chairs, a cashbox with change, and all necessary sports equipment. All you need to do is come ready to facilitate and have a good time!
