Rhein is 16 years old (pictured center with his 18U Impact VBC team in Chicago June 2009), the youngest of four children, and lives in Pleasant View, TN, is an active church member at South Haven Baptist Church, Springfield.  He is homeschooled through Aaron Academy, and takes college classes as a dual enrollee.  He is in the process of assessing his college options.  He plans to major in Business with a minor in Coaching.  He is an assistant coach at the family’s "All for Him" Volleyball Camps & Clinics and is a certified volleyball official.  His aspirations include becoming a volleyball professional, competing in future Olympics, and owning his own business.  Scott’s interests include travel, backpacking, working out at the gym, and hanging out with his friends.

Stepfather Rick, a Biomed engineer at St. Thomas Hospital, introduced the family to volleyball when Scott was 9 years old and playing co-ed soccer on the same team as his sister Amanda Rhein, now 19 and a Freshman scholar athlete and outside hitter for Lipscomb University. His mother, Carol Green, a high school and club coach, started the Aaron Academy volleyball program when the family moved to the area from Maryland in August, 2007.  She reminisces that Amanda taught Scott how to jump serve when he was 10 years old.  Carol Green currently coaches the 14U Impact Boys VB team as well as the 14U Alliance-Clarksville Girls team.  Sister Katie (21) is a nursing major at Lipscomb University.  Brother Stephen (24) is an entrepreneur who owns his own Pepperidge Farm delivery route.  Scott's father is Frank Rhein, Jr. and lives in Annapolis, Maryland.
