Boys Face Off Clinic

Clinic: The purpose and goal of this clinic is to provide instruction and information that will enable any lacrosse player to consistently excel at the Face Off in Lacrosse.
· Provide a fundamental understanding of face off mechanics
· Demonstrate and practice faceoff strategy, tactics, and counters
· Discuss practice drills and habits
· Discuss rules and officiating as it relates to face offs and how to gain an advantage
· Demonstrate and practice “ground ball” skills as it relates to winning more face offs
Instructor: Ken Yanicky During his high school (Pittsford High School in Rochester, NY) he scored 61 goals and 37 assists in addition to winning over 65% of face offs. In 1996, he earned the High School Lacrosse All-American award and was selected to the 1996 North-South All American Game. Ken graduated and played on the Notre Dame Lacrosse Team where his team made it to the NCAA Quarterfinals (1997). He started at Notre Dame as a Face Off specialist where he won 60% of his face offs. Ken is knows in the area as the “face off” wizard.
